Dining Plan…yes or no?

Not sure if you want to add the dining plan onto your Disney vacation?  Here are some things to ask yourself….

Will you eat at least 2 meals a day?

Do you plan to eat at several sit down restaurants, including character meals?

Do you want to be able to enjoy your vacation without having to worry about spending a ton of extra money on meals and snacks?

If you answered yes, you should definitely add the dining plan onto your vacation.  Now, which dining plan should you do?  If you don’t plan to do any sit down or character meals and just want to do all your meals quickly, the quick service meal plan would probably work best for you.  It also allows you more flexibility because you don’t need to make any advanced dining reservations for quick service restaurants and there are a lot of food choices other than the typical fast food like burgers and chicken nuggets.  Some even have steak! And if you have the dining plan, you might as well get the most expensive thing on the menu.

If you don’t mind planning meals out 6 months before your vacation, and want to eat with some popular characters or at some of the themed dining experience at Disney then you definitely want to add on the regular dining plan.  Sure, character meals may take longer than a quick service meal.  Sure, you may have to go to another resort to eat… but if you can meet a bunch of characters while you eat, you won’t have to stand in line to meet those characters inside a theme park.

If you want to skip out on all quick service restaurants altogether, there is a dining plan for that too.  The dining plans that Disney offers can be flexible, and offer quite a bit of food (dessert included!).  If you have any questions about how these meal plans can work for you, contact a CastleChat Agent today!
